Everything agencies ask before the first call.
Some answers below are careful on purpose. The careful part is usually the true part. If something is not covered here, write to [email protected].
Measurement
Where the numbers come from and how far you can trust them.
By asking and counting. We have a set list of questions, called prompts. We ask each AI tool these questions on a schedule. Then we read the answers. We look for brand names, where each brand shows up in the answer, and which sources the AI links to. Visibility means: out of the answers we checked, how many named the brand. AI answers change from one try to the next. So each number is an estimate from a sample of answers over a period of time. It is not a count of every answer. We always show how many answers each number is based on.
Good for showing a trend, rough as an exact number. AI answers change between people, visits, places and AI versions. So one answer proves little. Asking the same questions the same way over time shows which way things are moving. We show how many answers we checked, and over what time, so you can judge for yourself. We would rather show a wide range than a neat number we cannot back up.
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and Perplexity today. Gemini and Claude are in beta: we collect their answers, but on fewer questions so far. Microsoft Copilot is coming soon. What we can see depends on what each company allows, and that changes. If an AI tool limits what we can see, we tell you on screen. We do not fill the gap with a guess.
As often as you set each client’s schedule: daily or weekly, per question. You can also run a check by hand at any time. Website scans run when you start one. Data from tools you connect, like Search Console, comes with the same delay that tool already has.
How it fits
How it works next to the tools and habits you already have.
No, and we would not say it does. Those tools know far more about keywords and links between websites than we do. We connect your client’s own search data. We add AI search tracking on top. Then we turn it all into a to-do list, most important first, across all your clients. Most agencies keep a research tool and use us to run the day-to-day work.
Yes. That is what it is built for. Each client has their own separate space, with its own questions, rivals and reports. One view sits above all of them. It shows which clients need help, so you do not have to open each one. Every plan lets you add as many team members as you like.
Yes, from Growth up. Reports carry your agency’s logo and colours, and clients open them from a share link without logging in. That is in beta today. Your own sender email and reports on your own web address are coming soon. The platform page lists the status of each.
Search Console, yes, in beta: you connect it for each client, and their Google search queries sit next to their AI results. We are rolling it out to pilot agencies first. Google Analytics 4 is coming soon. The platform page lists every connection as available, beta or coming soon, and nothing is marked available until it works in the product.
Buying
What you are buying, and how to leave.
No. Tracking is the start. Every finding links to the answers behind it, becomes a task your team can own, and ends up in the client’s report with what changed. Growth and up also check each client’s website for problems that stop AI and Google reading it. That is in beta.
Yes, at any time. Your plan stops at the end of your current billing period: 4 weeks, or the year on annual plans. Your reports stay readable from their links, and we keep your data for 90 days after the plan ends. A full CSV export is coming soon; until it ships, ask us and we will send your data.
Limits
The two answers most likely to rule us out, said plainly.
No. It gives your team a ranked list of what to do, writing plans and website problems to fix. Your team makes the changes. We think a person should decide what changes on a client’s site. So we do not build automatic edits.
Visibility moves, sometimes a lot. You need to know if the cause was your client, a rival or the AI itself. We give each measuring period a version label. We mark the timeline when an AI tool suddenly starts acting differently. We keep all past data as it was, so you can compare fairly.
